day 5 Lifou

Well the first sight of Lifou was at around 5.30am,  the sun was already up
I went ashore early before 8am and it was already 25 degrees., so very warm. We are sheltered front the wind, so much calmer.
RADIANCE of the seas position today
Going ashore on the tender early in the morning

The beach

Frangipani flowers with quite a perfume
 A laden coconut palm
Looking back to the beach from the wharf
Part of the market,  selling food and other local delicacies
The clothing part of the market
More market stalls

 A red frangipani tree

 The main market
The beach,  largely fine coral,  lethal on your feet, not soft sand like Isle of pines

 Back on the tender
Looking back at the beach on the other side,  the water is turquoise close in but brilliant blue further out.
Looking back to the headland where the historic French church is.
 Another view from the tender
 The ship from the tender.
 The forward of the ship
 Looking back from the cabin
Off again,  flat water, but when we were well clear of Lifou,  the wind has picked out again and there is a slight roll. A pleasant dinner tonight.
